Dave Tibbetts is a professional musician, guitarist, and composer based in Costa Mesa, CA, working across live performance, original music creation, and collaborative projects with established artists.
As a live performer, he specializes in acoustic rock, country, and blues—performing both covers and original music with an emphasis on the unique expressiveness of the acoustic guitar. His live work is well-suited for civic and community events, outdoor concerts, corporate gatherings, and family-friendly programming, and he is available both as a solo artist and with a full band.
In parallel, Dave composes and produces original music for creative projects, with a focus on emotionally grounded, guitar-forward compositions suitable for sync licensing, film, television, and digital media. His background as a live performer strongly informs his studio work, resulting in music that feels organic, dynamic, and performance-ready.
He is also available as a guitarist for established and emerging artists, contributing rhythm and lead guitar in live and studio settings. Past and recurring clients include Prologis, Duke Spirits, Casey Lesher Group, Better Living SoCal, As One Cru, Medea, and Nashville on the Coast. Performance highlights include Boots in the Park (Long Beach), the annual CDM Christmas Walk, and the Boysenberry Festival at Knott’s Berry Farm, along with appearances at venues such as Yaamava’ Casino, The Coach House, The Observatory, The Roxy, Alex’s Bar, Balboa Bay Club, and Bayside Restaurant.
In addition to his professional work, Dave is active in the local community and volunteers as a youth sports coach with Costa Mesa Little League and the City of Huntington Beach.
